February

14x17" oil on paper. This is the first ever oil on paper I have done. For the future I would probably use a heavier paper so it does not buckle when priming, but aside from the slight buckling I really enjoyed doing it. It's a great surface for bristol brush paintings. You can really see all the individual brush strokes through the layering and build up of paint after it is done. I highly recommend to all my fellow artist friends, give it a shot, you will have fun with the paper situation.

Small Works From Recent Months

6x8" oil on wood

5x7" oil on canvas board

8x10" oil on canvas (just a small composition to potentially make into a larger painting, I can't decide if I like it for a large scale painting yet, if I did I'd want to rework my execution)

6x8" oil on wood, plein air of Laguna

5x7" watercolor on hot press paper, looking out from Jerome Arizona

5x7" pen and ink on hot press paper ( also trying to decide on this if I want to work on it as a large scale oil, and if so how to execute it)
